100 hours of video uploaded every minute by YouTube users
The Verge: Google revealed Sunday on YouTube’s eighth birthday that the video sharing website has reached new uploading heights with around 100 hours of video uploaded every minute by users.
A year ago today, 72 hours of video were uploaded every minute. The site also has reached record-breaking viewership with more than one billion people visiting the site every month.

By the end of the century, ocean levels could rise by 2 or 3 feet. That’s enough to flood the colonists’ first settlement at Jamestown, Va. And it’s putting pressure on archaeologists to get as many artifacts out of the ground as quickly as possible — before it’s too late.

A wolf cub yawns as it takes its first steps outside its den in Vienna Zoo. The cubs were born on April 27, in a natural den which was dug by the parent wolf in the semi-natural Arctic wolf enclosure in the zoo.
